So annoyed with Google...
I have adsense ads on two sites. I'm removing them from one maybe both.
My main site is my art. Unlike Vox / LJ I'm not political. I'm not talking about politics, news, my life, anything even remotely political at all.

Now in theory AdSense has been good. I've not made a lot of money but I have a few $$ built up in my account. Granted it will take years to get to the $100 for a payout but whatever. The site I am removing them from is the one that gets more hits, and made most of the money that I have sitting in there... But screw them.

One of the sites I have is a coffee blog with my mom. The ads there are Coffee related. Great.

My site? The main page = yeah they show art related ads. Some of the individual pages they show art ads. But when I went to look at my latest post to check formatting etc after posting it -- all anti-Obama ads. WTF? It's a post about Robot art I made. So I start clicking on other individual posts. Art ads. Art ads. Art ads. All good. Maybe something about robots was a keywords on those ads? Wait... NO...

On a post that reads:
"Waking up at 8:30 yesterday meant random digital doodling. I wasn’t sure if I loved or hated her until Brian said because of the colours I used she looks very 80s so I should add a checkered background. Now I think I like her even if she wasn’t a serious doodle originally. Now, sleep again. I fell asleep at 10, but had to wake up for my shot and been up since *yawn*"

How is that related to that page? That was the full text of that post page that the ad appeared on. Checkered background maybe? COLOURS? Whatever, I can't check other posts now, they've been replaced with AdBrite.

5 Ads like that on that post? No. I think I'll boycott them, I'd rather lose the money sitting in my account now than wait to make $100 that way. At least with AdBrite I can approve EVERY ad that will potentially appear on my site. Or maybe just skip ads and move to a Zazzle widget. If that was on these sites I post politics on and if I didn't support Obama I'd not be so pissed but I don't want that shit on my Art Site.

Off to check the coffee blog, if that shit is there too I'm done with Ad Sense for good even if it mean losing a few dollars I made fair and square.

pimping out your art

So one person thinks my girls belong on cards... thought CafePress and created a store but doubt I'll ever use it. Let's face it all of the stores online make the products so how much you make on default prices will be minimal because well duh you're not buying the cards, shirts, whatever, printing, etc. But I don't really care if they do all of the work, on my end it should at least be easy to set up and I found CafePress to be kind of a pain. So I went with Zazzle. I liked their set up for adding new items better, I liked their default way for pricing better even though I'm too lazy to look at which makes me more money if I actually sell anything.

Not much at mine yet, but I made it while tired last night, in fact I should look at it now that I'm awake :P But I added a link to it on My main site so as I make art I like I guess I'll at least add cards (blanks except for cover image, seems smarter to let people personalize them I'd think). Doesn't cost me anything so can't hurt. If I sell nothing, I'm out nothing. And I think my "store title" is soo smart "Buy my stuff so I'll think I'm an artist..." heh.

Hmm I should clean up the Keegan robots to sell on a card!

Ted Kennedy diagnoed with brain tumor...

When they said he had a seizure over the weekend, not a stroke, I was so YaY!
So many things can cause seizures, hell flashing lights, meds, my own illness can...
This is the worst possible answer.
He's one of the best friends we democrats have.
Ugh.
His poor family, they seem to get dealt more crap than most.

Oregon prediction...

Everyone is saying Obama is gonna take Oregon easy tomorrow and I semi agree. That video from Portland is a clue, eh? But... having lived in Oregon, I'd like to say he's only going to take Oregon because of Portland and probably Eugene. I bet the rest of the state goes to Hillary. I'm hoping the Oregonian posts by county on its site tomorrow so I can check, but frankly even though Oregon isn't racist enough to be scary like West Virginia was... It IS pretty hick and racist and yes scary in some parts when you get outside of the cities. Hmm how often do you see a poll, even online, with a perfect 50/50 split down to the exact # of votes for each option?

Disney is fun BUT... wtf?

We went on everything we wanted to except Indiana Jones (when we went by I guess it had broken down and the chick out front said an hour + at least), The subs (the lines there are basically always an hour + and I couldn't stand out there long), and Splash Mountain (same, hour + lines and stairs = nope was in too much pain for that).

BUT, in addition to the usual won't miss rides (Star Tours, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, etc). this time we did a lot of rides I'd think are where you head with the kids. Ok if my grandparents (who took me to Disney when I was a kid) were still alive I'd be placing phone a call today...Asking if they put me through that! It's been so long since I went on the rides I'd always assumed were kiddie rides (except the Pooh Bear one, went on it the last few times I was there) that I figured why bother, just kid rides... Boy was I wrong.

Holy... Ok Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - What? What? What? uhh... Did the ride end with us in HELL? I think it did!

Alice in Wonderland... Snow White... Man the kid rides are scary, drug induced, WTF? moments if ever I saw them. I'm glad we didn't have time for that part of the park when Keegan was here. Sure Splash Mountain upset him a bit because his "tummy dropped" but these rides would probably have given him nightmares he'd still be having :P I hadn't been on the "kid" stuff since I was a kid... I didn't realize Disney was so scary. Am surprised kids are so happy there. Peter Pan was cool though!

Saw Eeyore this time but we were in line while he was walking around playing drums on garbage cans. Brian "run over there and pull his tail off for me"... !!! I told him to be nice to Eeyore :(

I accidentally made a joke that caused Brian to announce "Too soon". Brian wanted to go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad well for those of you who don't know, heat affects MS, Anaheim is HOT. At first I thought he was said he wanted to go on the train, that's how with it I was as we'd been talking about riding the train. And I've never been on Big Thunder before. Now as we get near it, I'm asking him what it's like as some of the coaster rides had me a bit jolted ( in fact it was after Big Thunder we hit the Kiddie rides as my body was done with coasters, my shoulder popped in it from being thrown around). So we get there and there's a sign that says something like boomtown and population and numbers and they're crossed off with the numbers getting smaller and smaller. Brian said he wondered what happened to them all. I TOTALLY FORGOT that in 2003 someone died on that ride and said "They went on the ride and never made it out". Brian "too soon". Then something in my brain recalled... "Oh crap, someone died on this one didn't they, I'm about to go on a ride that killed someone and just told that joke, great, I didn't know, I'm sorry". Seriously I'm not a heartless bitch, next time I go there I should check the list on wikipedia first. I was sure the karma gods were gonna get me for that as we got on the ride. I truly felt horrible. Eeek. Just, you don't think of DISNEYLAND as a place where people die.

Brian made the mistake of calling me a doorknob... forgot what HE thought he was saying, but he never heard the "everyone gets a turn" joke and couldn't figure out why I was glaring at him. He felt like a dumbass when I explained it to him..

Now, I'm in a LOT of a pain, everything hurts. I'd still be asleep but Dutchie woke me up when Brian's alarm went off... so I'm gonna curl up in bed and watch tv while I try to recover. I was walking and talking like a drunk... without the alcohol yesterday... ugh.

We're supposed to leave around noon. Been up since ten, still kind of tired, but la la la... waiting for Brian now... So let me just say... I grew up in a decent church (Unity) though I'm not really sure what I think of religion, God, etc now I'm not anti religion, religious people etc UNLESS you're obnoxious and/or hypocritical about it. I have my own mind thanks. The fact I don't go to your church is my own choice made using my own mind. And if there is a God I think he/she will care more about the fact that I was overall a decent person who didn't go around raping, killing people, etc than anything else. He/she won't care that I didn't listen to your spiel.

And when I haven't slept for 24+ hours, and have MS, and am feeling like total crap and just want to make it into Vons to buy some soy milk I don't want you to act pushier than a used car salesman trying to demand I listen to you so you can explain to me why I answer to God. And then when we decide to go give the guy who asks for change at CVS next door a few $$ because he ISN'T pushy and come back to make our way finally into Vons our minds haven't changed in the 3 seconds since we said not interested and you watched us walk to him, walk back past you, walk to the cart, and as you kept watching us walk toward the door, still trying, NO we STILL don't want to stop what we're doing to talk to you. Seriously wtf...

I'm pretty sure God didn't say act like a flipping rude stalker and be pushy to get the word out. It won't work. People about to go pay $5 for a few eggs, don't want someone so pushy trying to force them to listen. I'm 35 years old, I have heard of God and church by now. Politics, religion, etc those are things people shouldn't be bullied into talking about to strangers unless they CHOOSE to. Unless they somehow make it known they want to, and if you ask once and they say NO respect it.

I don't mind talking about such things with people I know, but ugh that pissed me off.

Ok Brian will be out of shower soon... Off I go to my hot date with Mickey!

I've been up for 24 hours now. Ugh. MS not happy. Brian just got home from work. Gotta go pay two bills at mall. Then gotta go do grocery shopping as we won't have time tomorrow after Disneyland. Then dinner. Then I'm hopefully gonna pass out cold til Disneyland time tomorrow. *nods* So mom, if you don't hear from me til say Monday, I'm surely alive despite my silence, I'm just asleep or stalking Mickey... or actually probably Captain Jack as I see him more often at Disneyland than Mickey usually.

Lister P. Katt doesn't speak English

So Lister has this funny knack for shaking his head at either totally appropriate times or really inappropriate times. It seems to go in phases for awhile his head only shakes to things that should be yes then for awhile he only does it for no.

So just now I asked him tons of questions. No kitty shaking of the head just blank kitty stare. Finally, I go to leave the room but first I ask "Lister don't you speak English?". He quickly shook his head.

Ohh and the Katt spelling is on purpose, I asked Brian how he spells Lister's full name, as I was pretty sure he didn't spell it Cat... I was right, it's spelled Katt after Bucky Katt. Oddly enough Lister kind of looks like Bucky but I'd have to say Dutchie acts more like him while Lister acts like the dog Satchel :P
