Oh hell...
I slept through my whole Saturday! I hate when this happens. I remember kicking back in my recliner for a "snooze"...but I forgot to set the alarm, and did not wake until 1030pm, disoriented as to what day it was. Anyone who tells you working nights is not without problems is a liar. On weekends, I never know what day it is. I go to work one day and come home the next and naps, well they just muck up the whole keeping-track-of-what-day-it-is process.... of course switching between working days and working nights offers it's own problems to me....
Anyway, at midnight, I was wide awake and most of the world around me is sleeping. Dammit all to hell anyway. I'm not into the bar scene, so that leaves me with nothing fun to go do on my only "day off"....which I slept through anyway.
I wound up doing some sorting, got some boxes ready to load to be hauled off later today and dabbled artistically a little after I finished web surfing since Karina and Keegan were at out at Mike's for the weekend and the house was quiet. My attempts to nap around 5 to get back on track, failed.
I do find cool stuff online at night, when I have less distractions. Tonight I found a Sedona layered paper and paint artist named Jan Sitts. I like her style and she has a rather interesting looking book out called "TextureColorFeeling".
It's available from her page if you click on the title in this post it takes you to the purchase page. The book outlines the techniques she uses in creating her layered paper and paint style. $20 plus $3.95 for shipping, I may need to buy it, as it looks like the concepts could carry over to what I do both in paint, art furniture and textile art in one way or another. I do love her bold use of color!

I also found:
This fairly affordable source for getting Giclee prints made in small
quantities. No setup fee if you do at least 15
prints...that's nice!
and
Since there is a big discussion on doing gelatin monoprints on the QA
list right now, I somehow stumbled onto info about this online class on print making that covers the process... and so
I signed up to get emailed more info when the class restarts.
