Out of Spoons? You can have one of mine...
My art quilting pal wolfsilveroak over on live journal posted the link to this and it is really worth sharing. If you, or someone you know battles to function in spite of a disability everyday please share it with them. "The spoon theory"
It is priceless, and the link to the store has some great shirts and etc to help support the website " But you don't look sick"....
This post is for my daughter Ramie, age 34, who battles to live her life in spite of having MS and Sarcoidosis every day, some days she charges into her day more fearlessly than others....but she keeps going regardless. I don't know how she does it, 6 years so far of chronic pain, neuropathy, migraines and fatigue off the charts and everyone telling her she doesn't look sick..... I would have popped someone in the nose long before this, trust me.
If you are lucky enough to be healthy, read it anyway and the next time you meet someone who has a disability, give them one of your spoons would ya?
