But it makes driving in Portland life threatening...mostly because the local morons who have chains and studded tires, aren't the best drivers when the roads are clear and dry. I have no traction devices so I stay home, people who venture out get hit or run off the road by jackasses in 4WDs doing 70 like it's summer. In southern Oregon when it snowed, I would make a hot toddy and sit on my porch and watch drunken logger ram into each other at the bottom of our hill, it was a riot.

I am sure people from places that have serious snow think we are whiners, but I cannot get to work, public transit in our area is shut down, schools are closed,  the snow is still falling... I guess I'll try to get my temperamental oven to heat up and if it does...I am making bread today...who wants some?
