The perils of working nights while most of the world does not..... I passed out at 430ish set my alarm to wake me at 630.... that didn't happen. Well, the alarm went off, but it did not raise the dead. So here I am at 3am, wide awake, having missed most of my day off. CRAP.

Anyway, here I sit, catching up on a day's worth of email..... I woke to something totally pleasant to look at in an email feed from "Unusual Life".... which BTW, is a great site/feed if you are into unusual stuff. In the Unusual Life feed I found THIS article on the Purple palace Art House. I love people who know how to live life out loud! What a great environment that would be to live in.... all that COLOR!

Also found via a signature link on a post from the QuiltartChallengeDoll Yahoo group being organized by Jill Smith, this great tutorial on neopastel colored fiber artcards by Debbie, sorry not sure of her last name or I would credit her fully.

Lot's to do today and I work Vi noon till 10pm... I better get moving.

Okay so I was up late last night, side tracked by an owner-built housing forum I stumbled onto last night. Seems that they organized a 200sqft tiny house contest back in 2005. This would have been fun to take part in, sorry I missed it, but how intriguing!

I personally liked the second place winner's plan the best even though he went over by 57SqFt, but you could tell it was designed by a male... there was no common sense in the plan regarding things like the kitchen and storage. Men really should not design house plans until they get in touch with their fem side, ya know?

Anyway I tweaked the plan and made it a LOT more female friendly. I really do like the floorplan now, he had a loft, I did away with that and just made better use of the space on the first floor plus I added just a few sqft to make it work, I was motivated, I hate ladders. Want to see what I did with it? This may be my new dream house....
It is amazing how much practical use of space you can fit into a small footprint.
