NEC or Necrotizing Enterocolitis can occur in preemies and also in big babies whose delivery is difficult. Now they think she&#160; just swallowed some blood during the delivery, no sign or intestinal perforation, no increases in the amount of blood in her stomach, and it seems to be going away. They are keeping her in the unit through tonight to watch her...better safe than sorry. She already has daddy wrapped around her little fingers, he is insisting on staying with her all night.
